The Emerald Coast Regional Mustang Club was created in 1987 by four local Mustang enthusiasts as an informal social group. The ECRMC was officially sanctioned as a non profit organization by the state of Florida in 1989. The club has steadily grown over the years and was officially recognized and adopted as a regional group by the Mustang Club of America in 1995. All generations of Mustangs are represented in the club. Our members also cover several generations, yet share a common love for the Mustang car, it’s enjoyment, preservation, and history.
The Emerald Coast Regional Mustang Club actively supports several charity organizations in the local area; among them are the American Cancer Society, Sharing and Caring, Silver Sands School for handicapped children and others as needed. We sponsor an annual car show each year and participate in other local charity events as a means to collect funds for these causes.
Our monthly meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month. Social hour starts at 6PM and the meeting begins at 7 PM. We hold regular (at least once per month) “Social Gatherings and/or Fun Runs” to area attractions. These are great opportunities to come out and have a good time with fellow Club members. Most of our activities are family oriented and family participation is encouraged. In addition, many ECRMC’ers participate and display their cars in regional car shows, and do very well! The ECRMC is well represented on the local automotive scene.
For those of you thinking of modifying, learning some general maintenance/detailing tips and/or, restoring your Pony, many of our members possess the special skills and are willing to offer their time, experiences and, services to fellow ECRMC’ers. Gary Smith Ford, our corporate sponsor, offers a 10% discount on Mustang parts and accessories to all Club members. Many of our newsletter advertisers also offer discounts on their various products and services. Just show your Club card, they’ll be glad to see you! Your $25 annual membership dues will also bring you a Club window decal, local area purchase discounts and, a whole stable full of fellow Mustangers ready to meet you.
